August 14th , 2008.
Been very busy, alot more evo 10s tuned inlcuding the MR model, Love the new transmission. Here is one of the MRs on the dyno, baselined at 238 wheel hp and made 290 wheel hp after the reflash tune.
Finally took the Evo 8 back to the track this is with no weight reduction really, ran 9.73@150.2MPH, 3380LB at the scales with the HKS FCON VPRO ecu. The car makes 900 Wheel HP currently.
Plans are to remove weight from the car once we hit 9.5 or so. I guess whenever we get a chance it will go back out to the track, busy busy.
Checkout the videos section, www.iveytune.com/videos.htm for new video of the Evo making passes.

May 4th , 2008.
Talkers talk, doers do....................Doing some work on the evo, will be out to the track again shortly.
Stage one is heavy, and we will lighten as we go along, it currently has a fully certified 8.5 sec NHRA rollcage, and chute since it already went over 153 mph in street trim. No excuses.....................
We have started flashing the evo X ecu with Ecutek technology, stay tuned.............

March 7th, 2008.
Happy new YR! Well kind of late for that. Not a bad winter so far, we haven't done alot to the evo 8 but finally got it back on the dyno to double check everything. It's going to have the cage installed and some weight reduction for this yr but mostly will stay the same. It dynod well yesterday with the recent changes made.
We have had a few evo 10s in, nice new car, I like it. We did a custom exhaust on one in full 3" stainless and it dynod 266 wheel average. Too bad we didn't bother to dyno before the exhaust, subsequently the owner went to the track and ran 13.1 like that.
Been doing alot of cars with the FCON VPRO, what a great system, and for a great price, check it out on our page,
http://www.iveytune.com/vpro.htm

December 27th, 2007.
Went back to the track with the evo. Track rental at atco Raceway with the MB E55 club.
Ran 9.80@153.32, very poor traction only a 1.65 60ft. I guess that's it for the yr, we will see what happens next yr with better traction. Videos will be posted shortly.
Merry Xmas to all and Happy New Yr when it arrives!!!
November 20th, 2007.
Congrats to Mike of Max Psi on becoming the Fastest US based E36/E46 M3. He ran a blistering 9.92@145 mph to take the record. He is also the first US based M3 to enter the 9 second zone in the 1/4 mile. We tuned this car on our AWD Dynojet Dyno and it made in excess of 800 Wheel HP.
Sean tuned this car using the AEM engine management system.
We have not had a chance to take the evo back to the track, we have made some changes so it should go better but we have to try to do more than one pass next time, can't beat running 9s on the first and only pass without Nitrous!

October 23rd, 2007
Worked on the evo for a total of 2 wks on and off, we managed to run 9.98@147 this weekend at 3450lb, on C16 fuel, NO NITROUS!!
This is just the start of our excercise with the evo, stay tuned for more before seasons end.
March 3, 2007
Busy
busy busy. A lot of cars tuned
since our last post as you can
see it's been a while. We are
getting ready to change the
scope of the Iveytune
organization stay tuned, it will
all be beneficial for the
customer.
Going to concentrate heavily on
our evolution 8 during this
season to try and surpass goals
that have been set for it, let's
see what happens.
Oh we ran 9.6 in the Supra last
yr on the stock Toyota auto
trans, very nice street driver.

The
IveyFlash has been released
using both Ecutek and our own
flash solutions, see the link on
the main page for details and
pricing.
We have already flashed one
evo9, and like the results so
far.
The race season is over and I
would like to thank all those
that helped me through the
season. Next yr should prove
interesting as we will be moving
in a slightly different
direction, stay tuned.

Put
the Shearermotorsport.com
GT3582R Turbo kit on the evo
last weekend. Car dynod at 504hp
on 29 psi boost pressure. It was
breaking up and the dyno session
was cut short. The missfire
issue was fixed and now it is
running at even higher boost
with no misfire. The target is
running 10 sec on the stock
engine.
Still no transfer case available
for the Talon. So it seems that
will be it for the yr.
Here is the Dyno sheet and
installed Photos of the new
Turbo kit on the evo, better
info to come soon. |

I
Went to Englishtown to run at
the NHRA fall Nationals, I won
this race last yr.
Qualified #1 with a 9.41@151 MPH
at 3122LB, near the legal 3100
minimum for NHRA.
Lost in the finals to Julie
Stepan of ESX, throttle body
shaft broke while I was 5 cars
or so ahead, it sucked to watch
her drive by, but it's part of
the game.
Ran at Nopi ATCO, qualified #1
at 9.64@150.8, first ever by a
non Honda, and also redlit in
the finals against Matt Keller,
part of the game.
I have had a good season, and
may make a few passes at lighter
weight to end the Yr.
Bean put his car back on the
dyno last week during the rain,
I sorted out a minor issues and
recalibrated the old E6K, we set
a record for no nitrous on a
GT35R.
Here is the sheet.
Oh and here is the new header
for the evo8 made by
SHEARERMOTORSPORT.com, the evo
is going to be a very very
serious car quite soon |

Finally took the evo back to the
track, ran 11.91@115 full weight
(3470lb), this is inline with
the 400 HP level achieved on the
dyno, on pumpgas with methanol
injection. I am happy with the
result as the car isn't at 100%
quite yet. There is some
movement in the turbo and it may
be an issue.
NHRA At Englishtown is in a week
and honestly I have not tested
the Talon, it has been sitting
since the atco race. Perhaps
this weekend.

September 4th, 2005
Went
to NOPI NDRA drag meet at atco
last weekend. Ran the turbo4
class, qualified #1 with a
9.64@150.8. (video of this pass
is on the "videos" page.) Was a
close field with 5 cars in the 9
sec range.
I made my way through the
eliminations and ended up
redlighting in the final against
Matt . I will be back to try it
again before the year is out.
Right now focusing on removing
weight and changing the turbo to
output more power on the talon,
wanting to drop a serious # by
yrs end.
Also the NHRA race is comin up
Oct1-2, have to put the weight
back in for that race. I think
this is the last time I will do
this as I cannot justify adding
weight to the car to run it in
an event.
The Volks are now on the evo and
they look great.

Took
the evo back to the dyno
tonight. Had made 394HP/437ftlb,
last time. Changed the plugs and
map sensor so had to go back to
dial some stuff in.
This trip the car made 401.96HP
and 439.69 ftlb of torque.
Here is the sheet, hopefully it
will run well at the evo vs wrx
shootout weekend after next.
The Talon is sitting ready to be
tested right now, fixed a few
issues, and hoping for very good
results next time out.

Been
so busy, tuning, racing etc.
2 Wks ago the talon ran 9.74@148
mph winning the Hot rod class at
the summer slam event. I usually
run the street class but stepped
up one class with full racecars
for this event, with luck and
good reliability I was able to
clip 2 9 second contenders to
win the class.
The Alky injection is finally on
the evo and it is being tested
now, should be hitting the track
sometime this week to see what
it picked up on the alky, should
be interesting. It sure is fun
driving around on pumpgas and
30psi.
That 9.74 is a serious step, and
we had a pass that was better
but missed 4th gear. 9.74 means
that we have the fastest 4g63
powered mitsu in the NY/NJ/PA
area, period...............evo,
rwd, whatever.
Thanks to sponsors like the
Drivehsaft shop, RC Engine,
motorsport machine, Tilton,
Shepracing.
Stay tuned.

Well
it seems the AMS parts on the
evo work well. Slapped them in,
adjusted the EMS and it made
what you see below with 22-23
psi peak and falling off to 19
psi or so. Nothing special,
nothing fancy just good parts
that work well together. I could
ramp the boost to 27psi on pump
like some do but for what, it
won't work well running on
pumpgas on the street. I will
leave those dyno spikes and
tricks to them, good marketing.
Of course this car will have to
be taken to the track to verify.
Next up Alcohol injection kit
and more boost. Trying to stay
off the racegas. |

June 12th, 2005
Started modding the evo
seriously. Took some time to
order and install the following.
AMS Front mount intercooler
AMS upper and lower intercooler
pipes. With Tial BOV.
HKS Cams
AMS 1000cc Injectors.
AMS Full stainless (down to the
bolts) 3" exhaust system with
test pipe and Highflow cat.
AMS Fuel pump Upgrade
AMS Mini Battery Kit.
AMS 3" Intake pipe for Speed
Density Applications.
AEM 1313 ECU for the evo along
with 5 Bar map sensor.
Iveytune Calibration for EMS.
Let the spankings begin!!! The
eventual goal is a 800+ HP
street machine capable of
battling with some of the
best.....and winning.
The AMS parts are top notch and
the service was great, I have
seen alot of parts in my time
these are the highest quality I
have seen in a long time.
As for the Talon we are getting
that ready for the NOPI race,
it's ready now anyways, like
always, we are ready to race as
soon as we are finished racing,
no real downtime.

What
a week. Sheldon Celestine came
to us regarding his setup and
things that could be done to
improve reliability. There were
a list of things done to try and
improve consistency. The car was
put on the Mustang dyno and
cranked out respectable
horsepower. The car was taken to
import survival series this
weekend and won the class, due
to it running well and also due
to lack of much driver error :-)
Congrats Sheldon, keep it up!!
The talon is sitting in the
facility having work done to get
it ready for the next race while
a host of mods are being done to
the evo8 right now. The talon is
going to absolutely fly this yr
with the new mods then all
attention will be turned to
making an evo fast.
stay tuned.

2
Fridays ago went to test at
Englishtown. Intended to make
one pass to test the launch
control for the next Days NHRA
race at atco. I get there take
the car off the trailer and
enter the line. I see the Rx7 of
a rival of mine in New York.
Needless to say we ran a
friendly run and I managed to
get to the other end first.
9.82@150.4 new best time for me.
Traction was non existent, and
this has become a common thread,
the tilton is holding up great
thus far, worth it's weight in
gold.
So next day I head off to
qualify at Atco for the Sport
RWD class, I had won this race
last yr, it would be tough this
yr. I line up to make my
qualifying pass, and I break the
transfer case as I leave the
line, I make it to the end and
it was enough to qualify.
I return the next day, traction
was horrible and I manage to win
my class again. Another NHRA
wally!!
What a weekend, but now I
realize that there is a traction
issue with the car that needs to
be addressed. There is plenty of
power and wheelspin in 2nd gear
has become a huge issue. Some
top secret parts were sourced
through a japanese importer to
help alleviate the problem. Just
put it this way the drivetrain
will be quite different next
time out, as will the
suspension. It should net good
gains in the 60ft and 330 ft
areas of the track. If it works
as planned the times should drop
another 3-4 tenths of a second
just based on traction. Let's
wait and see.
Planning to attend the Nopi
turbo 4 race in Rockingham NC at
the end of june, if the car can
be together and tested by then,
the journey will be made to NC.
Also, the car was at the Sema
IAS show last weekend being
displayed in the NHRA racers
row, yours truly was on hand to
sign autographs, funny eh.
That's all for now.
Sean
May 2nd, 2005
Went
to NHRA this weekend, was pretty
good. Ran into a wicked fast
RX7, redlit. Ran a 9.9@148 not
bad for 3rd pass on the new
clutch, it is holding well,
thanks to the guys at Tilton,
carbon technology is amazing.
Still working out bugs but it is
looking promising so far.
Allan Friedman went 9.98@138
this weekend making him the
fastest, quickest, and only evo8
so far to go into the 9 sec
range off the bottle, congrats
to him as he worked hard to get
it there.
Sean
April 20th, 2005
Alan
did it again!! He went to the
evo vs sti shootout in Norwalk
Ohio and won the class. Kevin
Lawson took the wheel of the car
and ran 10.18@141.8!! This
resets the record for the worlds
fastest and quickest evo8 off
nitrous. We had made a
completely new basemap for Allan
after the Etown Victory to
address a few issues, it seemed
to work out well. We are
predicting 9 seconds for the evo
very shortly.
The Talon is also back together,
Rich of RC machine in Ronkonkomo
has provided us with perhaps the
best motor have ever seen, no
complaints thanks Rich!!!
Spent a few hours yesterday
making checks and also test
launching on th tilton carbon
clutch, it is different but it
doesn't give up, the best there
is.
Sean
April 12th, 2005
This
past weekend Alan Friedman of
Dynoflash LLC, managed to
eclipse the past record of
10.51@135 in the 1/4 mile, with
a 10.35@139 MPH run, he backed
it up with a 10.40@138 run to
make his EVO 8 the WORLDS
FASTEST EVO 8 WITHOUT NITROUS.
He was operating on the same
tuneup we provided for him on
the Dyno when he made over 650
to the wheels on c16 fuel.
Congrats Al and it was quite a
satisfaction seeing the Ivey
product working in such fine
fashion.
Did we Mention that he also won
the First Import survival series
while doing this? Congrats!!
The Talon engine is almost
finished and should be in for
shakedowns this coming week, it
will be interesting to see what
it runs with the new clutch
dialed in.
That's all for now.
Sean
April 5th 2005
Scrambling to get the Talon back
together for the races on the
23rd and 30th. Alot of new stuff
being done some will have to
wait as the car must be 100%
ready. It should run alot better
this yr with the larger turbo
and engine revisions, also the
addition of the tilton clutch
should help alot.
The evo parts are being
collected and a gameplan made up
for attack, chances are the evo
will be running very very well
shortly, no numbers yet, but
lets just say the talon won't
have any power advantage. We
have a game plan but more on
that later.
Sean
Feb 10, 2005
Welcome to the site. Hopefully
it will get real busy around
here. Picked up the evo 8 a few
weeks back will be interesting
modding that.
The talon is still in pieces as
we are doing a full checkout on
the drivetrain and making sure
all is well. The engine is also
being checked, it has been run
for a long time, we thought it
was time it got checked, Last
pass it made was 10.0@150, after
3 yrs.
Also congrats to Allan Friedman
of Dynoflash, LLC. We did some
AEM work for him and it worked
out great he was at 620+ Wheel
HP on 93 Octane pumpgas, using
the Buschur Racing Alcohol
injectionn kit on the dyno,
astonishing. Here is the sheet. |
